DermatoPlex


The DermatoPlex™ assay is a single-well real-time PCR multiplex for detection of the common fungi causing dermatophytosis: Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex, Trichophyton rubrum complex and Candida spp. (including C. albicans, C. tropicalis, C. orthopsilosis, and C. parapsilosis) as well as Nakaseomyces glabratus (formerly C. glabrata). The detection chemistry utilises PlexPCR® (PlexZyme® & PlexPrime®) technology.




Why use DermatoPlex™?
  • Provides 4 readouts:

    • Readout 1 detects Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex (T. mentagrophytes, T. interdigitale, T. indotineae)

    • Readout 2 detects Trichophyton rubrum complex (T. rubrum, T. soudanense, T. violaceum)

    • Readout 3 detects Candida species (C. albicans, C. orthopsilosis, C. tropicalis and C. parapsilosis), and Nakaseomyces glabratus (formerly C. glabrata)

    • Readout 4 is a control to monitor extraction efficiency and qPCR inhibition

  • Compatible with liquid handling systems, 192-well reaction formats
